Get To Know Synapticalist
The RBM: When did you begin to write?
Synapticalist: In 1999, in Hinesville Georgia. It was a place of oppression so to write, and at
the job site many freestyled, and so I decided to join in and from there I was told that I have an
unusual style and ways with words. So my friend from Detroit gave me the name Analytical
Genius which is what I'm known for by few, and from that led to the writing style presented
today.
The RBM: Who is your favorite author and why?
Synapticalist: God. Everything He does is because He authors it like science and math, so all
the effects is as He wrote it henceforth the author and finisher of the faith and time.
The RBM: Favorite book?
Synapticalist: The Bible because regardless of popular belief, creative things can come from
the Bible without any help or trying to make an image out of it. Like "when I come through I
come through with verses sharp like knives more cutting edge than swords". Another one: "I am
armed like Ephesians 6:11 fights against anything and that’s how I be steppin’" or "Like
Ephesians 6:13 I stand like Donnie McClurkin". Just some examples, and finally "From Proverbs
16:16 to I Peter 2:15 to put to silence foolishness of men therefore ignorance's terminator
Oppression's incinerator". The Bible because its influences are very versatile for many platforms.
The RBM: Do any people influence you to write? If so, who, and how do they help you?
Synapticalist: I think about RBM, Cold, Tori, Deb, and Suga from Hi5 because it's the very
first place as AAP back then where I got support. I was on another forum holyhiphop.com but
criticism was more than support. So coming to Hi5 was a journey that lead me here (To
Mecca). Why here? The different forums that challenge me to write in styles I've never done
before. The good thing about that? If successful, the writing style and repertoire can increase
and mature, in theory that is. Then (here in) Mecca I think of SincereKnowledge,
IroquoisEclipse, Lyrical Diva, Lanetta, and basically the whole Mecca (site). Why Mecca?
Versatility that can satisfy curiosity therefore learning new things thereby influences may be
detected for such interactions. Also on Myspace.com I have Patience, Lex, BPM and to be a
free thinker like Tim Dillinger and like Jacquie to be at Serenity. That allows writing to come
naturally instead of forcefully thereby going over writer's block.
The RBM: You are so passionate about your Spirituality and have a strong Faith base.
How long ago did you give your life over to Him?
Synapticalist: It was 1999 in the same place, Hinesville Georgia where it was the lowest point
but also where God came closer in the valley experience. It was a plant effect with many seeds
planted before but started to bloom in 2004 till 2006 to recognize God as my Ghostwriter
because His pen did not retire.
The RBM: How has He changed your physical life and the perspective you have of living
in this world?
Synapticalist: Perspective change like this from the written expression that individuality is the
key that God formed through personality. From that He told me that all are made as they are for
His reason and purpose. That's different for me because it use to be I would say we are
different for a reason however I now know we are different for God's reason. This part is more
specific and if God is perfect as the Creator then He is flawless therefore no mistaker. He made
no mistakes. Just because some things human think is wrong don’t mean it is. After all His
ways and thoughts are different from ours. So I know that since God's pen didn’t retire that
what I receive from God I know its from Him for He is the only one smart enough to do this
which leads to the style I have called Synaptics which will be a piece written later on to
expound and reflect on this question.
The RBM: You mention in some of your work and replies posted that people sometimes
have difficulty understanding your writing style? Why do you think that is?
Synapticalist: My wording is very awkward to what’s called "the normal". I have struggled in
grammar principles before where I would try to use and learn the techniques taught but it was
like I never got it right. I know now that I can't really do the normal so I have to do extra
things, like I have a disability to keep up. Some words may have be twisted in a new way for
some, so its new to them. Many say I don’t really have layman's terms. I then realize that my
style is not for everyone because I’m not to reach everyone. Everybody is to reach everyone
not one person. So if it's a style outside normal limits then its hard to understand for it was not
learned yet, or a possibility anyway.
The RBM: Do you have and brothers and sisters? If so, how many?
Synapticalist: No I’m the only child so that means or leads to creating something to occupy
my time or it may also lead to creativity because of no one to share it with.
The RBM: What do your family and friends think about your writing talent?
Synapticalist: My father likes it and wanted to get some things published. Some friends have
told me that my style can be enlightened but also confusing in wording. I had a person that
thought I was trying to dazzle my audience with big words but in fact some words are really
lower level but with added suffixes. Some people say they like to read my work and enjoy it. So
its a mixed emotion effect seems like.
The RBM: Do you plan on publishing anything or do you write strictly for release
purposes?
Synapticalist: Both actually, its a good release but I had few of them I think God told me
should be published for many to receive it.
The RBM: For the visitors who may be reading this interview, what would you tell them
about Mecca?
Synapticalist: Good question in fact I have The Mecca Lounge linked on my web page so they
can come here and posted some blogs here on there with the link here. I do that so I want to tell
them that Mecca is a place of versatility. Now why is that important to me is because if in fact
its a versatile place there is plenty of room for many visitors to become apart of the group inside
instead of just looking outside. Mecca is a journey but also it can be a vacation spot to get away
from the surroundings. How? Well here from what I’ve seen the group as a whole wants to
express support not separation. Mecca can be a good writing tool and if possible seminars can
be held well who knows...anyway with different forms like the style of the week and word
challenges its possible for some if not all to get better matured in the writing and it may turn a
person into a writer that thought was never possible.
